Small Ranch, Big Dreams

Our mission is to steward our land to its fullest potential — with purpose, integrity, and respect for tradition.

As first-generation ranchers with no prior experience, we are committed to learning, growing, and sharing every step of our journey with our community. What we may lack in generational knowledge, we make up for with determination, humility, and a willingness to work.

We believe ranching is more than production — it is heritage, responsibility, and family. Our goal is to involve every member of our family in this endeavor, building not only a working ranch, but a legacy rooted in faith, resilience, and hands-on experience.

We are dedicated to creating a space where modern-day ranching opportunities coexist with the integrity of old-world methods. Our bees produce honey from healthy land, and we have opened our property as a sanctuary for senior horses who deserve dignity and care. And this is only the beginning.

We are building something lasting — for our family, our animals, and our community.

  • We're husband and wife - John and April Frencl (pronounce like pencil)This is our first time at almost everything we are doing at Old Moon Ranch. The “old moon” or waning crescent symbolizes reflection and surrender. It encourages us to slow down and recharge our energy before the new moon. As the final phase before the new moon, it is the ultimate symbol of release and surrender. It is a time of deep wisdom and the ending of a cycle. For us, this specific moon and this land represent exactly those things.

  • We choose to pursue what is placed on our hearts before we automatically say “no” to an idea. Acknowledging the although no dream is too big, starting small feels more manageable las first time ranchers. Our plan is to pay attention to how our community responds to what we offer and adapt and improve continuously.

  • HONEY- our bees our working hard this spring so we expect to have our fist harvest by June. New Spring merch line is coming by May 1st. *We are offically opening our land to photographers this summer!
